Hello
I’m Ly. I write, record podcasts, make videos, (and occasionally memes) about exciting things in my life. I’m a storyteller and culture enthusiast who loves bringing people together, whether that’s over a cosy event, a post that makes you stop mid-scroll, or a meal inspired by my travels (yes, I will insist you try it).
With a flair for event management and a keen eye for what’s trending online, I thrive on creating memorable experiences, both in-person and across digital platforms.
When I’m not busy pulling off an event or brewing up content, you’ll find me in the kitchen testing recipes, mid-DIY chaos, or out in the sun pretending hiking is “just a short walk.”
My Story
At 5, I was convinced I’d be a doctor. At 10, I was sketching outfits and dreaming of being a fashion designer. By 17? Completely clueless. Mum and Dad had visions of me working in a law firm as a solicitor. Of course I picked the course that sounded most interesting: Advertising. Why? No maths, plenty of writing and it sounded fun.
Somewhere along the way, Marketing, especially Branding, stole my heart. Branding was just one module in my degree, but I devoured it. I read countless case studies, started a small business and built a brand from scratch (it failed, obviously, turns out enthusiasm doesn’t replace business skills), and watched global brands evolve like living organisms. My first job at an advertising agency sealed the deal: 20+ client briefs a week taught me that brands aren’t just logos or slogans, they’re the art of telling stories, building narratives, and designing experiences people want to be part of.
Moving to the UK is a life changing experience for me. I stayed because I fell in love with the diversity, people from all over the world, endless opportunities, and a sense of belonging I didn’t expect to find. After a few years in the UK, I drink tea with two cubes of sugar, moan about the weather like it’s a national sport, and have accidentally picked up “sorry” as a reflex.
Now, I’m still obsessed with storytelling, whether that’s in campaigns, events, or digital content. And of course, at dinners with friends with lots of stories.
